Biarritz Lighthouse, Sentinel of the Storms
November 2025, on the Tarnos sea wall. That day, the ocean had decided to show its wildest side: monstrous waves, one after another, crashing down with a roar you could feel deep in your chest. In the distance, the Biarritz lighthouse rose out of a golden mist, the Basque mountains silhouetted behind it, while the sky blazed pink and orange. I stayed there, feet on the sea wall, watching each wave rise and catch the light before collapsing. This one curled at the very moment the sun came to light it up. It was absolutely magnificent. One of those days when nature leaves you only one thing to do: be there, and watch.
